As property tax season approaches, residents of Caldwell County should familiarize themselves with the upcoming deadlines and procedures for the 2024 tax year.
According to Melissa Peek from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, property tax bills will be sent out on October 30th and can be paid starting November 1st. Bills are mailed to the property owner, however, if you have an agreement with another party, such as escrow, to pay your tax bill, you will need to forward a copy to them.

click to download audioPeek also wants to remind residents about the Homestead Exemption and the Disability Exemption, which applies if you are 100% disabled. She noted that the Homestead Exemption remains unchanged from last year, set at $46,350.
