A Hopkins County man was charged with drug possession after police responded to a call of an individual found passed out behind the steering wheel of a car in Princeton over the weekend.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison says officers were sent to a residence near the 800 block of Maple Avenue shortly before 7:00 Sunday morning for an unknown man unconscious behind the steering wheel of a car in the caller’s driveway. Officers said they made contact with 39-year-old John Keplinger Jr., of Hanson, and observed a meth pipe in the vehicle. Police said he was also found in possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Keplinger was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
