Over 2,600 Ballots Cast in Strong Early Voting Turnout in Caldwell County

Voter turnout was strong during early voting in Caldwell County on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

County Clerk Jennifer Watson-Hale reports that 89 excused early voting ballots were cast. In addition, 789 voters cast their ballots on Saturday, 857 visited the Butler Gym to vote on Friday, and 927 voters marked their ballots on Thursday. This brings the total number of early votes to 2,662.

Hale mentioned that there has been a significant number of first-time and younger voters, which she finds encouraging.

She also reminded registered voters to submit all absentee mail-in ballots to the drop boxes at the Caldwell County Courthouse by Monday, if they haven’t already been maile She noted that anyone can place your ballot in a drop box on your behalf.

Following three days of early voting, polling stations throughout Kentucky were closed on Sunday and will remain closed on Monday.

Hale stated that on Election Day, Tuesday, registered voters can cast their ballots at any of the four polling locations.
