A Hopkins County man has been arrested for burglary in Caldwell County.
Caldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman reported that Deputy Mac Englebright responded to a home on Dawson Road on Thursday for a possible attempted home invasion. He said the homeowner’s children were playing in the front yard when a man, later identified as 31-year-old Taylor Copple, of Madisonville, ran toward them and followed them into the house. Copple was meth by the children’s mother who was reportedly armed with a pistol and ordered him out of the house.
Copple was taken into custody and charged with second-degree burglary and booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
