The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) recently celebrated the achievements of a Kuttawa council member and a city clerk for their dedication to city governance and public service.
According to KLC officials, Kuttawa Councilmember Sandy Stark was honored with a Level III Master of City Governance award, while City Clerk Savannah McLeod received a Level II Excellence in City Governance award.
The City Officials Training Center, managed by the Kentucky League of Cities, is a voluntary education program where city officials can achieve various education levels. Participants can earn credits by attending Kentucky League of Cities events and submitting external educational credits from other municipal training programs.
In a written statement, KLC Executive Director/CEO JD Chaney said that the significant number of city officials participating in our City Officials Training Center program each year reflects their dedication to the cities they serve. He stated they are proud to recognize these local leaders and thank them for their commitment to the public.
The KLC City Officials Training Center offers four tiers of recognition based on the number of training hours participants complete in city governance and ethics. KLC proudly honors city employees’ and elected officials’ commitment to public service.
