Charles Leonard Patton, of Princeton, KY, passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 92.
Charles was born on January 5, 1932, in Princeton, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Mable Patton. Charles led a life marked by courage, selflessness, and passion. A proud retiree of the US Army, Charles served his country with honor in both Vietnam and Korea. After returning to Princeton, he worked until his retirement as a dedicated furnace operator at Special Metals. He was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars in Princeton. Charles’s zest for life was evident in his love for traveling and his enthusiasm for online gaming. He was of the Christian faith.
Charles is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wanda Noel Patton; two daughters, Sandy (Tommy) Brown of Princeton and Lisa (Brian) Campbell of Princeton; two sons, Alan (Carla) Patton of Dawson Springs and Robert Patton of Hendersonville, TN; four grandchildren, Dustin (Marie) Patton, Lucas (Erin) Brown, Hunter Brown and Anna Campbell; three great-grandchildren, Raylan Patton, Elaina Patton and Parker Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by two sons, Ricky and Kenny Patton; one sister, Catherine Windell; one brother, Billy Patton.
Visitation for Charles Patton will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Butch Gray officiating. Private graveside services will be held with military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.
