Patsy Wood Sisk, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, at the age of 88 in Paducah, Kentucky. Born on August 16, 1936, in Clinton County, Kentucky, Patsy’s generous spirit and warm smile touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Spencer) Yonce of Nashville, TN; her son, Brad (Pam) Sisk of Beaver Dam, KY; her brother, Donald (Linda) Wood of Fairfield, IL; her beloved grandchildren, Erin Sisk, Emily Sisk, Logan Yonce, Lorah Yonce (Austin) Cunningham, Leah Yonce, Lydia Yonce (Michael) Fulcher, and Lillian Yonce; and her treasured great-granddaughter, Hutson Cunningham; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Robert T. “Bob” Sisk, her parents, Smiley and Ruby Tidrow Wood, her sisters, Mary Henderson, Grace Calhoun, and Greta Bunch, and her brothers, Eugene Wood and Hugh Wood.
Patsy’s commitment to education was evident in her professional life, where she served as a substitute teacher for Caldwell County Schools and later worked in Adult Education. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Murray State University, which empowered her to contribute significantly to the field of education.
Her involvement at Northside Baptist Church was a reflection of her deep faith. As a choir member, AWANA Leader, and Sunday School Teacher, Patsy’s spiritual devotion was an inspiration to many.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Morgan’s Funeral Home and from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Israel Brooks and Bro. David Royalty officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Spring Church Cemetery.
