A well-known name at the Pennyrile District Health Department will begin leading the five-county organization at the start of 2025.
Trigg County Judge Executive Stan Humphries, who serves on the district health board, says Ashley Tyler was selected Thursday by the committee to become the next Pennyrile District Health Department Director.

click to download audioTyler currently serves as the Pennyrile District Health Department Assistant Director and previously served as the Director of Nursing. Tyler previously worked as the HANDS/Harm Reduction Supervisor for the Todd County Health Department, and worked in the Cath Lab At Jennie Stuart Health. and was a school nurse at Trigg County Schools through an agreement with the Graves County Health Department. Tyler is a graduate of Caldwell County High School and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University in 2021 and graduated with an associate degree in Nursing from Madisonville Community College in 2001.
The Pennyrile District Health Department is located in Eddyville and serves Lyon, Trigg, Caldwell, Crittenden, and Livingston Counties.
