Brenda Jane Lipscomb, age 74, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at her home in Lyon County.
Brenda was born on August 24, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late A.E. Ray, Jr. and Pauline Sipes Boyd. Brenda would spend her early years growing up in Vine Grove, Kentucky before moving to Princeton in the 1970’s. Brenda’s professional journey began with the operation of The Craft Center in Princeton, which cultivated a thriving community of artisans and patrons alike. She later transitioned to a fulfilling career as a bank teller at First Bank & Trust, where she served with diligence until retirement. Alongside her beloved husband, Stuart, Brenda contributed to their joint venture, Lipscomb Hydracleaning. She enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycle rides with her husband, and occasional trips transporting horses to Oklahoma with her husband and sons.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Stuart Lipscomb, II; two sons, Kevin Creekmur of Princeton and Stuart (Samantha) Lipscomb III of Owensboro; one sister, Lisa (Randy) Conger of Lyon County; five grandchildren, Lexie (Zach) Gaither, Anna Creekmur, Knox Creekmur, Stuart Lee “SJ” Lipscomb IV, Simon Abell Lipscomb; one great-grandchild, Hendrix Gaither.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father, A.E. Ray, Jr; mother and stepfather, Pauline and Oscar Laughlin “O.L.” Boyd; one sister, Judy Diane Martin; and one grandson, Karter Ray Creekmur.
Visitation for Brenda Lipscomb will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow on Saturday, November 30, 202,4 at 1:00 PM with Bro. Mike Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Jane Nichols Cemetery in Caldwell County.
