At Monday night’s meeting, the Princeton City Council made significant decisions, including the approval of a new Public Works director and two appointments to local boards.
The City Council approved the transition of Chris Pool from interim Public Works director to the official superintendent, and the first reading of an ordinance establishing his salary at $52,416. Pool replaces former Public Works Director David Sullenger, who retired last week.
In other new business, the Council unanimously approved Mayor Brock Thomas’s recommendations for appointments to the Princeton Tourism Commission and the Princeton Electric Plant Board.
During unfinished business, the Council approved the highest bid submitted for a Public Works truck that was previously declared surplus.
