A Princeton couple and an Eddyville man were injured in a head-on collision on Marion Road in Caldwell County Saturday.
Sheriff Don Weedman reports that the wreck occurred when 45-year-old Paul Bealmear of Eddyville was driving a dump truck southbound on Marion Road. For unknown reasons, he said the truck veered off the road, leading Bealmear to over-correct into the northbound lane, where he collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Joshua Pottebaum.
According to Sheriff Weedman, a passenger in the pickup truck 42-year-old Jessica Pottebaum was flown to a Nashville hospital, while Joshua Pottebaum was taken to Nashville by private vehicle. Bealmear was transported by ambulance to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by AmeriPro Ambulance Service, Princeton/Caldwell County Fire Department, and Stinnet Towing.
