The Caldwell County Fiscal Court took significant steps in managing the county’s infrastructure by approving ordinances for proposed road discontinuances across all four magisterial districts during Tuesday morning’s meeting.
Judge-Executive Kota Young introduced the ordinance for District 1 road discontinuances, with three of the eight roads initially proposed for removal now remaining in the county road system.

In other new business, magistrates approved a task order for Strand Associates to provide technical services for a pedestrian trail on US 62, stretching from Walmart to West Main Street, along with a budget amendment for fiscal year 2025.
