UPDATE: The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department has reported the fugitive being sought has been resolved at this time. According to a Saturday morning update, authorities said an investigation revealed the man, identified as 31-year-old David Kendrick of Kankakee, Illinois, was out of the area and in Illinois, where efforts were ongoing to take him into custody.

Authorities are searching for a man who fled into Lyon County following a reported domestic dispute in Trigg County Friday evening.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office describes the fugitive, 31-year-old David Kendrick, of Kankakee, Illinois, as a light-skinned Black man wearing jeans and a white t-shirt. After fleeing Trigg County, police reported he crashed his vehicle on Interstate 69 between the 68-69 mile markers, just off Interstate 24. Law enforcement is actively searching the areas of KY 93 South, I-69, KY 3305, and Elkhorn Tavern Road in Lyon County.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the fugitive has a confirmed, violent criminal history and he should not be approached or picked up. Call 911 or (270) 388-0911 if you see this man.
