Christmas Break to Begin Early For Caldwell Students Due to Sickness

Students in the Caldwell County School System will get an early jump on the Christmas vacation thanks to a bout of sickness that has rolled through western Kentucky.

School officials made the decision late Wednesday to cancel classes in Caldwell County on Thursday and Friday. They will be designated as traditional no-school days and a decision on whether to make them up will come at a later time.

Classes in Caldwell County will resume on Monday, January 6.

Meanwhile, District Communications Specialist Lizzie Shelton says if you aren’t getting notifications from the schools about important things such as the cancellation of school due to weather or sickness, downloading the ParentSquare app may need to be your next course of action.

Officials in Trigg County canceled a pair of basketball doubleheaders this week but continued to keep classes intact.
