Larry Young, age 73, of Princeton, KY, passed away on February 26, 2025, at Caldwell Medical Center.
Larry was born on September 29, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late Charles Glen and Ora Marie Baker Young. Larry dedicated 31 years as a devoted coal miner. His passion for the great outdoors was evident to everyone. His happiest moments were spent hunting, exploring the country roads his motorcycle, horseback riding, or roaming the trails on his 4-wheeler. He had a particular fondness for visiting the beautiful Smoky Mountains. To know him was to love him and Larry’s gentle spirit and nurturing heart is forever imprinted on the lives of those he encountered.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Donna Young; son, Shawn (Bambi) Young; daughter, Angela Jones; sisters, Brenda (Jerry) Henry and Rhonda (George) Pickering; brothers, Tony (Dianne) Young and Bruce (Lori) Young; two grandchildren, Chandler Young and Arielle Akin; great grandchild, Octavia Young; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Larry Young will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM at Liberty Church Cemetery in Caldwell County with Chaplin Tim Morgan officiating.
Morgan’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
