A Princeton man is facing charges after running from police over the weekend.
Caldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman reported that a deputy attempted to stop 26-year-old Austin Feltner on Sunday after he disregarded a road closed sign on KY 91 North and Skinframe. He said Feltner, who was known to have a warrant, got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and ran.
According to Sheriff Weedman, Feltner was taken into custody after he was found hiding in a shed behind a residence on Crider Road.
Feltner was charged with fleeing or evading police on foot, an indictment warrant, and a parole warrant. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
In addition, Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allision reported that officers issued a citation to Feltner at the jail on a charge of third-degree fleeing and evading police. He said the charge stems from January 12 during a traffic stop on Marion Road where Feltner was a passenger in the vehicle and ran from officers.
