The Caldwell Medical Center has received a generous donation from a local insurance provider to help aid in the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Mike Gilkey, Shelter Insurance Agent for Princeton and Caldwell County, presented a $1,000 donation to the Medical Center Friday as a way to give thanks and support a local entity currently providing COVID-19 relief. He states that Caldwell Medical Center is helping community members in Princeton and Caldwell County by providing the medical attention and supplies needed to combat the virus that has left much of the nation at a standstill.

Gilkey notes that funds were made available through the Shelter Insurance Foundation, which has allocated $1.5 million to help with crisis relief in communities across the entire nation. Every Shelter agent in the 15 states the insurance agency serves were given the same opportunity to help a local entity in their own communities.
