A Muhlenberg County woman and a Hopkins County woman were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Madisonville Friday afternoon.
Madisonville Police reported the wreck occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Honeysuckle Drive and South Main Street when a pickup truck driven by 42-year old Jaclyn Hafley of Graham collided with a car driven by 34-year old Danielle Lewellen, of Madisonville.
Police said Hafley was traveling south on South Main Street when witnesses stated to officers she disregarded the red traffic signal and hit a westbound car driven by Lewellen as she was leaving Rural King and traveling through the intersection toward Marketplace.
Police said Hafley and Lewellen both complained of possible injuries and went to the emergency room at Baptist Health Deaconess Health in Madisonville for treatment.
