Ten Princeton Residents Presented Kentucky REALTORS® Tornado Relief Funds


Some Caldwell County residents affected by the December 10 tornado received disaster funding relief Friday afternoon. After the deadly tornado outbreak in December, Kentucky REALTORS® took immediate action to help Western Kentucky with disaster relief funds and made a stop in Princeton to present checks to ten residents who applied for assistance.
Mike Inman, the 2022 president of Kentucky Realtors who represents 12,800 members across the state, says they are proud to be working with the REALTORS® Relief Fund at the National Associaton of REALTORS® to make $1.5 million in Disaster Relief Assistance available to help residents that were affected by the storms and tornadoes.


click to download audioTo date, Inman says they have provided nearly $200,000 to 88 western Kentucky residents, with recipients receiving an average of $2,175. He says his purpose for swinging through western Kentucky is to draw more attention to the assistance offered by Kentucky REALTORS® and get more people to apply.


click to download audioThis week, Kentucky REALTORS® presented relief funds to ten recipients in Princeton bringing the total amount of tornado relief funds recipients to 18 in the city. Officials indicate a total of $49,000 in tornado relief has been presented to Princeton residents.
In addition, Kentucky REALTORS® has presented tornado relief funds to 28 total recipients in Bowling Green totaling $65,000, and 17 total recipients a in Mayfield totaling $29,000 in tornado relief.
Laura Beth Wynn, one of the Princeton check recipients, lived on her great-grandparent’s farm until the home was destroyed along with her father’s barns in the EF-4 tornado on December 10.

Billie Farless, owner of Farless Realty in Princeton, Kelly Mitchell with KY Homes Realty in Eddyville, and Shelly Lewis of Coldwell Banker Service 1st Realty in Cadiz were also on hand at the check presentation representing the Pennyrile Board of Realtors, along with Princeton Mayor Kota Young.

The check presentation was held at Princeton City Hall.
