16th annual Shop & Share for Sanctuary, Inc.

Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, is the 16th annual Shop & Share event: A one-day, statewide fundraiser where shoppers are asked to SHOP for what they need and SHARE an item with their local domestic violence program.
Participating Shop & Share locations include Kroger stores statewide. Specifically, donations given at Kroger stores in Madisonville, Hopkinsville and Powderly will directly benefit Sanctuary, Inc., which serves victims of interpersonal violence in nine counties across the Pennyrile region.
Sanctuary employees and volunteers will be at those three locations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 10 collecting donations from the shopping list. Needed items include:

Toilet paper
Laundry detergent pods
Dishwashing liquid
Disinfectant wipes and spray
Cleaning supplies – brooms, mops, buckets
Deodorant
Body wash Toothpaste
Tampons
Diapers (Sizes 4 and 5)
Baby wipes
OTC medications
Facial tissues
First Aid items
Granola bars
Noodles
Fruit snacks
Cases of water
Individual cereal cups
Pasta and sauce
Coffee (ground)

Kroger grocery gift cards
Monetary donations

Over the 15 events that have taken place, more than $5 million in goods and monetary donations have been raised for the 15 domestic violence shelter programs that make up the Kentucky’s domestic violence coalition, ZeroV. Partners include the Governor and First Lady’s offices; Kroger; and Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana.
Goods donated during Shop & Share allow ZeroV programs, like Sanctuary, Inc., to use their budgets to continue providing services to the men, women and children in Kentucky who seek assistance in rebuilding their lives free from abuse.
