Two dedicated board members last week underscored the importance of the Princeton-Caldwell County Airport, emphasizing that it is the community’s most significant economic asset.
Airport Board members Lloyd Murdock and Phillip Sisk, along with Serieta Jaggers, the daughter of one of the founders of the airport in the early 1960s, were guest speakers at the Princeton Rotary Club meeting on Tuesday.
Murdock highlighted the airport’s progress, noting its primary role in serving the community. He estimated around 2,500 flights since mid-May 2023.
He estimated that 150 to 200 of those flights are agriculture-related, but noted it’s surprising how many people fly into Princeton to visit family or local businesses.
