On Wednesday, community members took advantage of the beautiful fall day by gathering to celebrate the grand opening of the Legacy Center Food Pantry, which also featured a food drive in partnership with Farmers Bank.
Food Pantry Director Missy Gill told WPKY’s News Edge that they relocated to the former Times Leader building earlier this year, and collaborated with Farmers Bank for the facility’s official grand opening.

Farmers Bank Marketing Director Tiffany Massey stated that they collaborated with the Legacy Center for the food drive as it presented a wonderful opportunity to support the community.

Farmers Bank also provided complimentary grilled hamburgers and hot dogs at the event.
Gill stated that the Food Pantry distributed approximately 600 grocery carts of food last month which is essential for many community members.
She explained that community members in need are required to make an appointment to shop at the Legacy Center.
